Portfolio and Technical Blog

Personal portfolio and technical blog documenting networking, infrastructure, self-hosting, embedded systems, and production engineering projects.

What I built

A statically generated portfolio and technical blog with a Windows 95/98 workstation interface, conventional URL navigation, MDX posts, a plain view, and a client-side portfolio terminal.

Why I built it

Built to document networking, infrastructure, self-hosting, embedded systems, and production engineering work in a memorable but accessible interface.

Architecture

  1. Visitor browser
  2. Cloudflare Workers static assets
  3. Static Next.js export deployed with Wrangler
  4. MDX project and blog content

Wrangler publishes the static export directly to Cloudflare, without a running origin server or tunnel. The terminal executes no server commands.

Technologies used

  • Next.js
  • Web development
  • Accessibility
  • Responsive design

Problems I hit

The desktop metaphor still needed to remain usable with keyboard navigation, on mobile screens, and without terminal interaction.

How I fixed them

Kept every destination as a normal URL, added visible focus states and Plain View, stacked layouts on mobile, and limited JavaScript to the client-side terminal.
